Veasna Has is a nonfiction writer whose personal essays explore themes of family and cultural identity, rooted in her Cambodian American upbringing. She is a 2024 Periplus Fellow and an alum of the Tin House Summer Workshop. Her work has been supported by Kundiman and the Mendocino Coast Writers’ Conference. She is currently at work on a memoir-in-essays. Born and raised in Long Beach, California, she now calls Queens, New York home.
